How to fix slow, unresponsive iPhone 16 Pro Max and internet issues after iOS 26.1 update?

Hi everyone 👋

I’m really hoping someone can help because ever since I updated my iPhone 16 Pro Max to iOS 26.1, it’s been having some serious issues 😕.

The phone is extremely laggy, freezes often, and sometimes doesn’t respond to my touch unless I tap the same spot multiple times. Everything suddenly feels slow and unresponsive. 🐌

My internet is also a big problem now both Wi-Fi and mobile data are very slow to a point where even simple browsing barely works and the apps that use internet became unusable 📉

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

• Reset Network Settings
• Reduced transparency/motion
• Turned off Apple Intelligence
• Added 8.8.8.8 to DNS
• Turned off Low Data Mode

Unfortunately, none of this made any difference 😞.

And to make things even more confusing…

After updating my Mac to the latest version, it also started acting a bit strange it became slower than usual with some internet issues. Not as bad as the iPhone, but definitely noticeable. Everything started right after both updates, so I’m not sure if they’re related, but it feels like they might be 🤷‍♂️.

I’m honestly getting pretty frustrated at this point 😣.

If anyone has gone through something similar or has any ideas on what else I can try, I’d really appreciate your advice.
