Hi! I have a MacBook Air (2017 ver) and it wont update past Monterey 12.7.6, is it because of the model or is it an issue with the mac?
It's the model. Ventura requires a MacBook Air to be a 2018 or newer one.

Until you upgrade to a newer Mac, you may want to install a third-party Web browsers like Firefox . Monterey no longer gets the latest versions of Safari, but the current version of Firefox will run even on Catallna – and current version of most other major third-party browsers will run on Monterey.
