iPhone 17 pro max not charging

Follow these steps and try again after each step:

1. Plug your device into one of these power sources:

• • Computer
  • Power accessory
  • Wall power socket

1. Restart your iPhone or restart your iPod touch.
2. Check your charging cable and USB adapter for signs of damage, such as breakage or bent prongs. Don't use damaged accessories.

5. Use a wall power socket and check for firm connections between your charging cable, USB wall adapter and wall socket or AC power cable, or try a different socket.
6. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device, then plug your charging cable firmly into your device.

9. Let your device charge for half an hour.
10. If your device still won’t power on or if the screen displays a battery icon, force restart your device:

• • iPhone 8 or later and iPhone SE (2nd generation and later): press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
  • iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPod touch (7th generation): press and hold both the side (or top) button and the volume down button until the Apple logo appears.
  • iPhone 6s or earlier, iPhone SE (1st generation) and iPod touch (6th generation) or earlier: press and hold both the side (or top) button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears.

1. Let your device charge for another half an hour.

If your device still won't power on or charge, you may need a service. Get a service

If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support (IN)

Have you tried a forced restart:

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (this might take longer than 10 seconds).

The operative word here is QUICKLY for the first two buttons, then a long hold for the SIDE button; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky. If done correctly this will always work unless the phone has a hardware problem. 

Just happened to me today. Had to use the USB c from my Lenovo laptop as no regular power sources would charge my 17 pro max after it hit zero. It charged right away from this and once it hit 5% I could use the regular chargers again.

I have had exactly the same problem, with my two day old iPhone 17, instead of using the supplied charging lead, I used another similar lead, and it worked.

Tested the new lead on my iPad no charge.

Your phone came with a charger? You must be in Brazil?.

Take it to an Apple Store for them to investigate, you are still under priority warranty access.

Try resetting it and restoring it from iCloud backup. Before that backup your iPhone.

I got iPhone 17 pro max and mine says it’s charging but won’t go past 20%

Head for the Apple Store / Genius Bar or an authorized Apple service shop.

I believe, based on your experience, there is one faulty lead, not a batch.

There is a 1 year warranty, which you can extend almost indefinitely by subscribing to AppleCare+. All repairs (except physical damage) are covered for the warranty period.

Same here. My husbands quit working on his original charger that came with the iPhone about two weeks ago, and mine just quit working today! It will work on a non-apple charger, but not the latest ones with this new charger anymore.

iphone 17- same issue

I am fully charged on a macbook pro laptop- the cable worked fine yeserday- but today after my iphone 17 ran completely flat its not recharging at all- not showing the red bar to show its even connected to a charge cable.
