Apple Care Plus with an Apple ID set to be in the US; but originally created in a Non-Apple Care Plus available country

Hi, so, I live in Panama and have a phone that was bought in the US. My Apple ID was originally created and set to be in Panama, however, as here in Panama you can't buy the Apple Care Plus, I've changed the region of my Apple ID to the US and then I was able to purchase the plan for Apple Care Plus; my question is, if it lets me buy the AC+; am I okay then?

Here in Panama we don't have Apple Care Plus, but there's an official retail store that does partner with Apple for repairing the phone with the Limited Apple Care Warranty.

Thanks!

I suppose whether you are "okay then" depends on what you mean you "okay"?

AppleCare+, like the warranty, will ONLY be valid in the country where it was sold. That means the US. If the device needs service, you will have to physically take it to the US.
