The Calendar app shows default events with a background colour, which makes them easy to recognise in the Month view. Events the user entered can also be colour-coded, but this only places a dot of the chosen colour in front of the event name. Is it possible to specify a background colour for user events?

Thank you. Unfortunately, Calendar Help does not provide a solution. A colour can be shown for an event in Week view, but not for an event in Month view (other than the initial dot or when the event is selected).
go to calendar help, there's a lot about color coding your events and calendars; I was browsing thru help and don't have your answer, but you will find all that there.
