Stuck on preparing iOS 26 update during iPhone setup

after resetting my phone while i was setting it up, after the page where “add a card” the next page is a update to ios 26 page where there’s no option to not get the ios 26 update, the only button was “next”, but when i try to update the phone its stuck on the “preparing update” screen with no way of canceling it, what should i do next?
