Anyone having issues with Face ID on 17 Pro Max?

I never buy the new series for at least a year. Unfortunately I had to upgrade from 15 Pro Max to 17 Pro Max thanks to family plans issues. The 17 Pro Max is … junk. Glitch after glitch in almost every area, but in my experience Face ID is the worst of the worst. Certain apps do not open at all. In particular, my Lexus app. I need that to monitor location, most importantly. I am unable to use it at all.


My Gmail and Proton Mail are extremely slow. Health app is bad. In fact, most functions glitch.


I completely regret this upgrade.


I am unable to get help from the developer website. AT&T can’t figure it out.


Does anyone else have these issues? Any fixes?

To rule out a software issue caused by the backup data from the older iPhone, try to set back the new iPhone to factory settings, this will download a new iOS version.

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings using a computer - Apple Support


The set it up as a new device, not using any backup data. Add the needed 3rd party apps and Mail accounts, then test the device.


If your iPhone is still not working as expected, tell Apple Techs about the issues, so that they can fix these in an upcoming iOS update.

Also check back with the developers of the 3rd party apps, if iOS 26.1 and the iPhone 17 series is fully supported.
