iPhone 15 battery health at 88% after 7 months

I’ve had my iPhone 15 for around 7 months, and when I checked the battery stats today, the health was at 88% with 308 cycles. So it’s dropped by about 12% since I bought it. I’m curious if this is normal for others too.

Where did you buy it?

That is seen commonly when a device is purchased from a third party who is not an Authorized Apple Seller and the battery is either "boosted" to display artificial results when you first receive the device or the battery had been replaced by a non-genuine battery and the poor performance is expected.

At 308 charge cycles it would be "normal" to see a Battery Health of about 94% on average. If you purchased a device from Apple or Authorized Apple seller and it drops below 80% in the first year, Apple will replace the battery for free.

I suspect you purchased the device used as it would not be expected to see 308 charges cycles after only 7 months, so you really do not know the history of the device or what has been done to it.
