Videos not transferring from Windows laptop to iPhone 15

issues transferring videos from windows laptop to iphone 15 - everything is up to date with ios etc, however, when i am trying to transfer videos from my laptop they just wont appear. photos transfer no problem but whatever i do the videos wont transfer. have done the usual, switch off/on, reinstalled apple devices, made sure videos is ticked, all to no avail. i have tons of videos of new grand kids etc that just wont transfer to my phone, despite them being there previously

i also hate the new photos app that shows every photo in the home area instaed of just new photos with everything else in folders like the old way

Transfer Videos Using “Link to Windows” --> https://apps.apple.com/us/app/link-to-windows/id6443686328

What you need

  • iPhone running iOS 17 or later
  • Windows 10/11 PC with the Phone Link app
  • Link to Windows” app installed on your iPhone (from App Store)

1. Set Up the Connection

  1. Open Phone Link on your Windows PC.
  2. On your iPhone, open Link to Windows.
  3. Scan the QR code shown on your PC.
  4. Grant all permissions it asks for (Bluetooth, Contacts, Photos, etc.).

Don’t worry — nothing weird; just the usual tech trust fall.

Once paired, your phone and PC are basically best friends.

2. Enable Photo/Video Access

On your iPhone:

  • Go to Settings → Link to Windows
  • Ensure Photos is set to All Photos (or whichever albums you choose).

This allows the app to send/receive images and videos.

3. Transfer Videos from PC → iPhone

Here’s the part you actually want:

Method A: Drag-and-Drop Into “Phone Link”

  1. Open Phone Link on your PC.
  2. Go to the Photos tab.
  3. Click Add photos (or drag files into the window).

Phone Link sends them to your iPhone’s Photos app.

Method B: Use “Share” inside the Phone Link interface

  1. Right-click a video on your PC.
  2. Select Share → choose Phone Link.
  3. It will beam it straight to your iPhone’s Photos app.
