How to fix unresponsive Touch ID on iPhone SE 2020 after enabling 'Find My iPhone'?

I inadvertantly switched on stolen and now my SE2020 touch id wont work. I cannot access passwords as this is also touch id.

can’t turn off Find My iPhone I can’t turn off Find My iPhone on my iPhone 14 pro. I followed the detailed instructions but the switch is gray and cannot be turned off 1) Open Settings. 2) Tap [your name] > Find My. 3) Tap Find My [Device], then tap to turn it off. I can’t continue to the next steps because the switch is gray and cannot be turned off 4) Enter your Apple ID password. 5) Tap Turn Off.

How and from what device — EXACTLY — did you “switch on?”
