Unable to scan from my Brother HL-L3240CDW printer using iPrint & Scan on Mac

Brother printer not offering scanning as an option in the iPrint & Scan program. Printer model is HL-L3240CDW.

I should be able to scan from my macbook pro ... right?

Scanning With a Brother HL-L3240CDW Printer on a Mac:

No. This is just a printer --it it not a multi-function device. Though, it most-certainly is compatible with your macOS, according to Brother: Supported OS | HL-L3240CDW | Others | Brother, it does not scan, as all it is, is a printer.
