If you have more than one device with the same Apple ID that is capable of using FaceTime and you answer on one device, you can pass the call and join on the other device, however, it will disconnect the call from the first device. I have a MacBook, iPhone, and iPad. I usually like to take my FaceTime calls on the iPad. However, depending on where I may be in the house, I will sometimes answer the call on my iPhone, then go to where my iPad is and swap the call to that. You have to make sure you have setup continuity between the devices.

This should help explain that concept. Use Continuity to work across Apple devices - Apple Support

Looks like only on one device as it makes no mention on answering on multiply device with Apple support document outlined here Use FaceTime on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
