Logic Pro from App Store not compatible with old Mac

I need Logic Pro , wich requires Mac OS 14.4, which my Mac from 2017 does not get.

I've read about downloading from your older purchases and "downgrading" to a version compatible with whatever OS you got

But can I do that with a completetly new purchase?
