Cannot add widgets on MacBook
My 2017 13 inch Macbook air which is up to date with software updates (macOS monterey 12.7.6) wont let me add widgets

In macOS Monterey, you can only add widgets to the Notification Center: Add and customize widgets in Notification Center on Mac - Apple Support. It’s only in macOS Sonoma and later that you can widgets in the Desktop.
