Help with getting rid of old hotmail account!

I just got a new iPhone and while seemingly MOST of my data/apps transferred (photos, imessages, random apps) with no problem, several apps (waze, uber, etc.) won't download unless i sign into an old HOTMAIL account. I haven't used Hotmail in a decade - have no way to recover that account - and it doesn't show up anywhere in my settings, media/purchases, or anywhere else - only my gmail/primary email. No matter what I do, i can't download those apps without somehow signing into Hotmail - even changing my icloud/gmail account doesn't work because it is insisting on Hotmail! help!

Apps downloaded with one account will require you to be signed in with that account in order to redownload or update. Since you say you have no access to the old account, I'm afraid you will have to delete those apps and download them as if new with your new account, possibly having to buy some again, and possibly also lose some data.

If you changed email address at some time in the past, what you should have done was kept the old account and simply changed the identifier address used with it. The support article Change your Apple Account primary email address - Apple Support outlines various methods for changing the email address (Apple ID) you use for your Apple Account while retaining everything in your account.
