There will always be "some" users who have an issue. That still doesn't mean everyone has an issue. I'm glad you don't have a VPN as they cause connectivity issues. Given this forum is the most visited forum on the planet for all things iPhone, if iOS 26.1 uniformly caused Roaming issues, this forum would be blown up with people complaining. Yet it's not. I know you don't want to hear that you need to push your carrier on this, but they are the ones who provide Roaming Services. And there is nothing inherently in iOS 26.1, which would stop them.

If you want to do some troubleshooting on your end, these are the typical things to try:

1. Force Restart your iPhone --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
2. Restore your iPhone from Backup, preferably using your computer, which will install a fresh new copy of iOS on your iPhone --> Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

Any chance you're using a VPN on your iPhone? If no, Roaming is a carrier provided feature and you would want to speak with carrier about this.

Any error messages in the settings for Mobile Service -> Mobile Data Options?

Can you use cellular data at all?

Did you check for any carrier updates?

Why didn't you answer my question asking if by chance you have a VPN installed on your iPhone? There are many users who have all sorts of problems. That doesn't mean iOS 26.1 caused them specifically. It's like walking into a hospital and seeing sick people, then assuming everyone everywhere is sick. iOS 26.1 caused absolutely no issues on our iPhones or iPads or Apple Watches or MacBook Pro.

Also carriers often give you the answer that will get you off the phone the quickest. They may need to roll a carrier update to you. But Roaming services, which you be assured millions of people who are on iOS 26.1 are being used around the world are likely just fine. Why it's not working for you should be the question.
