Improve AirPods Pro noise cancellation for conversations

how to mute surrounding conversations?

i use AirPod Pro 3 and i notice it’s very efficient on surroundings sounds like the train but not so good to suppress annoying neighbors conversations

how to improve this?

Reducing noise for person on other end of the call for Airpod Pro 2nd gen I upgraded to the Airpod Pro 2nd Gen hoping it would be able to reduce the background noise that the person on the other end of the phone call hears. However, they are still able to hear every little sound - magnified. If I close a cabinet or move something it is extremely loud on the other person’s ears. Did iOS 18.1 ruin my AirPod pros? I prefer wearing only one AirPod during work. New update has removed the noise cancellation feature when wearing one pod. This has greatly reduced the functionality of my AirPods at work. I’ve had to raise my typical volume setting and I’m still missing podcast content when work environment gets briefly noisy. Why is my AirPods Pro Gen 2 noice cancellation not blocking all sounds? Hey, I bought AirPods Pro Gen 2 yesterday, mainly because I read online that the noise cancellation is insanely good. When I activate noise cancellation, it effectively filters out the sound of a running dishwasher. However, I can still clearly hear my spouse walking or placing a mug down in another room. Even when I walk around my home in socks, I can hear my footsteps. Additionally, there isn't a significant difference between transparency mode and noise cancellation mode. While the dishwasher noise is reduced in noise cancellation mode, other everyday sounds remain unchanged. I'm using the AirPods with an iPhone 13. When I browse the internet, I see that many people have this same issue. Is my AirPods malfunctioning, or is the noise cancellation just complete garbage? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Turn OFF Adaptive Noise Control

Adaptive mode deliberately lets human voices through so you stay aware of your surroundings.

Fix:

Settings → AirPods Pro → Noise Control

Select: Noise Cancellation

Turn OFF: Adaptive

This immediately reduces speech you didn’t want to hear.
