At the bottom of that article are the hardware requirements for Macs to talk directly to MFI hearing aids.


I don't think your MacBook makes the [surprisingly recent] Cut:


  • MacBook Pro introduced in 2021 or later using macOS Sonoma 14 or later
  • MacBook Air introduced in 2022 or later using macOS Sonoma 14 or later


Older Macs may require a TV streamer device, such as the GN Resound TV streamer 2

Yes. Oticon Real 1 minirite. I can pair them with my iPhone 13 mini. I turned off iPhone bluetooth. Turn on macbook bluetooth. Disconnect mouse. turn on hearing aides. Bluetooth can not find hearing aides. Open settings>accessibility> I see vision, hearing, motor, speech, general. no hearing device shown. Open hearing>audio. Message at top "The settings for hearing device are not availible". Thinking my macbook does not support Oticon Real 1 device.
