How do I move apps to the dock in iOS 17? After upgrading my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 15, and a soon to be unsupported iOS to iOS 17 I wanted to move apps to the first page of my home screen. Used to be you could make room on the dock by moving apps off of it and then use the dock to move apps back and forth from screen to screen. Well, apparently that does not work any more. I moved my phone and mail apps from the dock to a screen with some empty slots, but I cannot move anything onto the dock, INCLUDING trying to get my Mail and Phone apps back to the dock. How do I move apps to the dock?

iOS 18.3.2 - Adding apps to the dock? (again) I just updated my iPhone 12 to the latest iOS, and am having a problem adding apps to the dock. No matter where I position the app near the dock (left, center, right) it gets repelled. Frustrating. There is only 1 app in the dock at present. And, I no longer see any dock settings in this version. This issue of adding apps to the dock has been reported earlier regarding iOS 18, but the screen-shot illustration doesn't apply to 18.3.2 where dock settings have since been relocated or removed altogether. In earlier iOS versions, it was never a problem to add items to the dock. Why are we faced with a goofy, time-wasting, and tricky regression? So... how to add apps on an iPhone 12, iOS 18.3.2? Apps reappear in Dock after reboot despite 'Remove from Dock" is done few times Apps keep on reappearing in dock on reboot even after doing "Remove from Dock" few times. For eg, VLC keep on reappearing on reboot (not every time though)

An excellent question to which I have not yet found a definitive answer. I too see this item - and have not found a specific association to a single App.

This item does not appear in iOS 26 for iPhone.

Have you tried turning it on? On a Mac that is the daemon that manages the dock at the bottom or side of the screen.
