How to recover photos from a permanently disabled iCloud account?

I just got off the phone to apple support regarding an old iClouds account that I wanted to try recover some photos from. Apparently, it's been permanently disabled without my knowledge. Has anyone else had this happen and if so, was there absolutely nothing to be done about it?

Getting Into an Old Apple Account:

So, how old is this Apple Account, and when's the last time you used it? You may have close it, a long time ago.

Use a Recovery Code:

Did you ever create a recovery code? If so, use that. If not, then take this a leaning experience, knowing to always create one. Set Up a Recovery Key for your Apple Account - Apple Support

Contacting Apple:

Be certain you are calling Apple Support, and no one else: Contact - Official Apple Support. Scammers often try to get you to fall for calling them, rather than Apple.

Troubleshooting Lost of Data:

It is gone, if not backed up. So, look in a place would would have backed it up. Elsewise, it is gone. This is something you would have agreed to, upon opening an Apple Account.

Locating Lost Photos and Videos:

I. Enable Photos and Contacts in iCloud:

On the iPhones, enable Contacts in iCloud.

On the iPhone:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)
  5. Tap: Contacts (so that it is green)

II. Troubleshooting Deleted Photos:

Three Things to Try:

A. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos App - Apple Support

B. Check iCloud, Directly:

Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

C. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card
