Speak screen stops working

Speak screen stops working

I use speak screen a lot to read Japanese news websites on Safari with reader mode. Often controller of speak screen stops responding. To fix, I need to turn on voice over and turn it off. Then force to restart my iPhone. In a bad day, I have to do it 5 times or more. Simply restarting iPhone or any change of speak screen settings don’t work.

Is there any way to avoid it? One thing I found is a sentence stating < seems to cause the issue. But that doesn’t apply many other cases.

Thank you for reply.

Toggle Speak screen and shut down does not restore the speak screen functionality. Once controller and gesture for Speak screen stops responding, it is still unresponsive after turning Speak screen off, restart iPhone, then re-enable. To restore the controller and gesture responsive, I need to turn on Voice over and turn it off, then shut down iPhone.

Changing voice did not help.

I do not use any other accessibility features. Speak screen is only Accessibility feature I use. So, I do not think this is applicable.
