How do I play LBC radio via Apple Music on Homepods and iPhone?

Hi same here - sometime around 12.00pm Nov 26th

Anyway: (especially for our senior Mac user) I just typed LBC into Musics search bar and chose the Tunein player. They have two options: A blue one for the 'phone in station and a white one for the news only service. (Never used it beyond a swift test)

Listening to Tom Swarbrick at this very moment.

Actually that doesn't answer the Homepod and iPhone question.

On my iPhone I use the Global Player App, I assume it works on iPad's also.

I will ask Siri to play LBC on our Homepod later - I have a Roberts radio tuned in to LBC in that room, (kitchen) which predates the Homepod.

I had another response from Apple support over the weekend.

They expect an answer back from Apple, sometime during the week.

I did try the LBC Uk suggestion, to be fair it did work but it did come with a tunein announcement, then some pre-roll adverts before it went to the station.

Unfortunately Classic Fm, Gold and a version of Lbc without corporate greed is still not working at this time.

This worked for me until yesterday. Site down.co.uk says the service (LBC) is down.

Gone again. Weird. Back to the tunein version :(

I have been speaking to Apple Support as I can’t play Lbc, Classic Fm or Gold since yesterday.

They have told me that they will contact me in 24hrs once they have an answer.

I can let you know how I get on and if there’s a solution.

Just to add my two cents worth - same happened to me. Cannot get any of my HomePod Mini's to play radio stations using Siri, just keep getting message saying that there is a problem with Apple Music. Two other friends in same village having the same issue. Had a long conversation with a technician who took down all of the details and says he hopes to call me back tomorrow (Thursday 4th) with a resolution.

Given that this would appear to be a widespread issue for Apple, I am surprised that their front-line support are not aware of it, but then what do I know :)

LBC Station in Apple Music on MacOS now working ok - Testing right now 10am Fri 5th All fine.

The tunein version was good but I like the version LBC and Apple provide. Very cool when I found it a few years ago - Just searched on a whim and bingo.

Anyway, all back now.

Same here. No radio stations work, which is a pain as my 83 year old dad loves listening to Classic FM each day.

I have the same issue. Definitely a fault there.

`this is incorrect as it plays fine via Alexa app and the phone app. So obviously it is just Apple makes me wonder why I pay thousands for there rubbish.

I had a second call with Apple support today, with a very helpful operator who’s doing what they can.

Hopefully it can be resolved soon for us all.
