How to correct incorrect predictive text suggestions

The predictive text proposes words which don't exist, which are spelled incorrectly and so on.

Is there a way to correct that? Otherwise, since it occurs quite often, might as well turn it off altogether.

You might want to check (or make adjustments) in :

System Settings > Keyboard > Input Sources > Edit

and / or

System Settings > Keyboard > Text Replacements” to add anything you want used

Wondering whether the tips and possibilities outlined in Apple Support's article (link be;ow) can help:

Get typing suggestions and correct mistakes on Mac - Apple Support

Eg:

When autocorrection is on, misspelt words are detected and automatically corrected as you type.

and

    • "Undo autocorrections: An automatically corrected word is briefly indicated by a solid underline. To revert to your original spelling, put the insertion point after the word to show your original spelling, then choose your spelling. You can also Control-click the word, then choose Change Back to [original spelling].

To turn on or off autocorrection for a specific app, open the app, then choose Edit > Spelling and Grammar > Correct Spelling Automatically (it’s off when a tick isn’t shown).
