Calendar app time period box appears black

This happened in the Calendar app after updating my iPad to ios 26.1

The time period box on the left hand side of an event appears black. It was previously white, so I could see the black text (the hours) but now it’s black text on black background.

Anyone else have this?

Is it something I can change or a glitch that Apple needs to fix?
