Unable to add Calendar widget to iPhone 17 Lock Screen

Then I’m not so certain, other than a Factory Reset.

Resetting to Factory Settings:

If you are so concerned, then reset you iPhone to factory settings, as if you were to sell it. Go here: How to factory reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Perform as instructed there, including the backup creation and iCloud logout.

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about your concern.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what features to include in updates to come.. Apple will know nothing of your opinions and ideas, if you don't report it to them.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that you want this to be an option and why. Include the URL of this thread
4. Proceed from there as necessary

Getting the Calendar App:

So, if the Calendar App has gone missing, you can get it right in the AppStore. Type calendar in the search bar. If not installed, it would read “Get” on the far/right. If installed, it would read “Open” on the far-right. It would be the second listed item, as the top item is always a promotional app.

Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar on Lock Screen:

To view upcoming calendar events directly on your iPhone's lock screen, add this as a photo to your gallery, and then create it as a widget. From there, move it to the frame you so desire…

1. Unlock: Your iPhone
2. Go to: the Home Screen
3. Hold Down: on the Lock Screen to enter the Lock Screen gallery.
4. Tap: the Customize button
5. Select: the Frame above or below the time to bring up the widgets selector.
6. Tap: the Suggested Calendar events widget
7. Swipe: to the calendar widget you want
8. Tap or Drag: the Calendar to the frame you so desire
9. Tap: Done (in the top-right corner 
10. Tap: the Current Lock Screen in the wallpaper gallery to activate it
