Siri not activating flashlight on iPhone 17

Why do Siri not turning flashlight on without seeing my face , even if camera app closed and access while locked on ?


my old iPhone 11 was acting better then my new 17 pro max :(

Siri on newer iPhones (15 series and later, including the 17 Pro Max) uses an additional security step called “Face Confirmation” for certain lock-screen actions—even if you enabled Access When Locked. This is why your iPhone 11 behaved differently: older devices did not require this stricter confirmation.

For iPhone 17 Pro Max and iOS 26, Siri may require seeing your face before turning on the flashlight under certain conditions. This is expected behaviour and not a defect.


Your iPhone 17 Pro Max requiring face recognition before Siri activates the flashlight is normal behaviour on newer models with updated security. Check your Siri and Face ID settings, disable “Require Attention,” or use Back Tap as a quick workaround..
