New IPhone 16, also have new optimum Internet router, & Samsung smart TV, I have not been able to cast from my phone to Netflex. It says No device found to cast to

Unable to use iPhone to Chromecast. Hi 👋. My husband and I have both been using our iPhones to watch movies - sport etc through Chromecast on our TVs ( we have 3 ) . But when we now try to tap the chrome cast option it says ‘ no devices found ) we have tried everything I have reset both devices, disconnected the chrome cast and reconnected, made sure the local service are turned on, rebooted my router , made sure connected to the same wifi.... and nothing is working this is frustrating. please 🙏 can someone help ! we haven’t had any issue for well over a year .

Using a WiFi router for ROKU TV and iPhone with-out ISP I am looking for advice on how to configure a WiFi router with-out internet, in order for my iPhone to use airplay to watch streaming services on a ROKU smart tv. When I set up the router using the default settings, and try to use airplay the iPhone apps will say that I don't have a connection. I read a suggestion on another thread that said to change the IP address from automatic to manual on the iPhone by clicking on the small i next to the WiFi connection. Then changing the IP address to 10.0.1.4 and sub-net to 255.255.0.0. I believe the suggestion was to let the iPhone know that this connection does not have internet. There must be a range of IP's that devices understand as not having internet? I tried the above suggestion, but it did not work. I also tried to set up the router with the same IP address ranges. Does anyone have other suggestions on how to accomplish this?

👉 iPhones do NOT support “casting” (Google Cast / Chromecast) to Samsung TVs.

Netflix’s “Cast” button only works with Chromecast-enabled devices.

A Samsung TV does NOT have Chromecast built in, unless you purchased a special model with Google TV — most Samsung models have AirPlay, not Chromecast.

That’s why Netflix says:

“No device found to cast to.”

Your setup is working normally — it’s just not compatible with the feature you’re trying to use.
