What happens if I don't trade in my iPhone 13 Pro Max for credit after purchasing the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Hello! So I recently purchased the iPhone 17 pro max and to get credit for it, I wanted to trade in my 13 pro max. It wasn’t necessary to trade in, but i clicked the option because I thought I wouldn't get any credit knocked off. But, Apple says you don’t even need to trade in for credit. I think due to the holiday deals, but the credit will still be applied with your carrier. I changed my mind when I realized I didn’t even have to trade it in. I paid the 13 pro max completely off. If I don’t trade it in what will happen? I need advice.

You should normally be charged in full, then you get a trade-in credit off your payment card once they check the phone is what you claimed it was. So you simply will not get the credit. At least that's how it works in my country.

Well my concern is that they delivered a trade in kit with my new phone and if I don’t send them the old one I’m afraid I’ll get charged or I’ll have to give back my new phone. But, they’re having a holiday deal with no required trade in, but I selected option not knowing I could still get credit even without trading in phone. Sorry Im just really overthinking.😞
