iPhone 12 Pro Max video not playable on MacBook

Old guy here…not tech savvy. I recorded a 25 minute performance on my iPhone 12 pro max. I have a Macbook Pro. I copied the concert onto a flash drive plugged into my Macbook. It came onto the flash drive as…..IMG_5401.mov

When I click on it to (hopefully) play the file I get the message:

The document “IMG_5401.mov” could not be opened.

The file isn’t compatible with QuickTime Player.

I want to give this flash drive to the group I recorded so they can open it on their computer to review the performance. Any suggestions on how to make this ‘playable’ on a computer?

Thanks for your thoughts.
