I have not received my £1000 gift card purchase after 12 hours

Apple sometimes holds or delays gift-card deliveries for security verification, especially when:

• The amount is large (like £1,000 total)
• You purchased multiple cards in one order
• The purchase was made with a new Apple ID, new device, or new payment method
• Apple detects anything unusual about the transaction

Delays of up to 24 hours are not uncommon for high-value gift-card orders.
