YouTube app not working on iPod touch

i still own and IPod touch gen 7. It works great and the battery still holds its charge. I recently found out my YouTube app no longer works properly because Apple no longer allows my device to get software updates. Is there anyway I can fix that?

im autistic and it’s my wind down tool and device and using YouTube on safaris isn’t as good and user friendly as the app. I will eventually upgrade to a mini iPad but right now why would I when my current device still works. I’m also worried the lack of software updates may effect my game apps as well. Yes I know I could use them on my phone but I like having two devices so I don’t have to worry about Charing my phone twice as often
