I have to turn it back on in camera mode when I am in the dark before taking a photo. This is in my old iPhone 12 mini with its iOS

iPhones automatically disable or shorten Live Photos when the scene is too dark.
Why? Because Live Photo = 3-second video + photo.
In the dark, that turns into “3-second murky blob,” so iOS quietly backs out.
Apple basically says: “Nope, we’ll save you from yourself.”
Try to enable Live Photo and preserve it
Settings → Camera → Preserve Settings → turn ON Live Photo
This ensures Live Photo stays ON when you reopen the Camera app.
Thanks, but my iPhone 12 mini's "Settings → Camera → Preserve Settings → turn ON Live Photo" was already set. I do enable flash in the dark too. I just would like to keep the dang live video ON all the time even in the dark with flash on.
Is there a way to ALWAYS keep live video ON even if the photo shot is being taken in the dark?
