How do I stop buffering and delete photos sent via text on iPhone 14?

I sent a series of photos through text and it keeps buffering and I can’t delete the photos. What do I do?

Force-quit Messages (often works immediately)

  1. Swipe up from the bottom and hold to open the app switcher
  2. Swipe UP on Messages to force-close it
  3. Reopen Messages
  4. Try deleting the photo again

👉 Many users report the photo becomes deletable after the force-close.
