iphone 16e- not receiving text alerts from one contact. Suddenly just stopped receiving when I send text to contact, using iPhone 17 pro max, contact receives no alert but receives text. Have tried rebooting, checking notifications. Any suggestions?

They should check if the conversation is MUTED
On their phone:
Open Messages → Swipe left on the conversation.
If they see a bell with a slash (🔕) → it is muted.
They should tap the bell to turn alerts back on.
This is the #1 cause.
