AirPod max usb c, battery monitoring on iPad screen

Unless I am missing something, on my two much cheaper headphones (costing like $50 & $75) I am able to see on both batteries % on top left of the screen beside the main battery readout on my 2 iPad’s, but my new apod max that cost me hundreds more I only see battery % when it first connect to both iPad Pro’s my 4th gen and M4. Is there something in setting I need to do so I can see how much battery is left on screen ?

Use the Batteries Widget (best method)

Go to:

Home Screen → long press → + → Batteries

Choose Large or Medium widget

→ AirPods Max battery appears automatically whenever connected.

Shows:

  • Headphone battery
  • Left/right cups battery (if applicable)
