Is there a way to get my Canon 8400F scanner to work with OS Ventura?

VueScan (from Hamrick Software) includes its own 8400F driver, so it bypasses Canon’s discontinued driver entirely.

With both scanners connected to your iMac, and with the current VueScan version, launch it. From the VueScan Scanners menu, select Find Scanners (F12). This may take a moment or two as it pokes your scanners.
Then, from the open VueScan panel, the Source selector will provide the ability to select the scanner you want to use as in my case below, where the LiDE 400 is an AirPrint configured USB scanner:

Just to reinforce what VikingOSX already replied,
Yes, Vuescan can recognize multiple scanners and it allows you to select the one you want to use. I have 3 scanners connected to my Mac. In Vuescan I can select the one I want to use at any particular moment and they all work perfectly fine with Vuescan

I already have VueScan on my 27 inch iMac, OS Ventura. It works very well with my regular Canon printer/scanner. I also have an 8400F scanner that I haven't used for about 5 years, but need to use it again to scan old colour slides, strip negatives and prints, because it does a very good job. With the Canon printer/scanner already plugged into one of the iMac's USB ports, can I simply plug the 8400F into another USB port? Would the VueScan program then recognise two scanners? Does it have the ability for me to select the one that I wish to use? Your advice would be most valuable.
