Third-party effects not showing up in Final Cut Pro

Hi, I'm having issues trying to get some 3rd party effects to show up in Final Cut Pro.

HW Version: M2 Macbook Air

OS Version: macOS Tahoe 26.2 (25C56)

Final Cut Pro Version: 11.2

I have created the "Motion Templates" folder along with Effects, Generators, Titles, Transitions and right clicked on all and added .localized to them. I've put my downloaded effects into the Effects folder but they're still not showing up in FCP. I'm very, very new to FCP.

You seem to be missing one level of folders.

Create a "category" folder under Effects. Call it something meaningful for you - maybe "SBCT", since all these effects have that in the name. Then put all the "SBCT - ... " effects inside this new folder.

Category folders appear as groups in FCP Effects browser (and similarly for other templates - titles, transitions and generators).

Note: do not "localize" the "category" folders.

Here is an example (it's for transitions, but the principle is the same), in which "Lichinho" is the category folder, and "Asym Dissolve" is one transition in that category.
