How do I update the firmware for my AirPods Max (A2096)?

How to update my firmware for my AirPods Max! I believe I have tried everything. I have tried restarting and resetting and plugged them overnight into my computer next to my MacBook charging. I have also tried forgetting my AirPods for the current device and re-pairing it to my computer or phone. My current Model is A2096, firmware is 6F21. Please help
