Apple Watch SE battery only charges to 75-80
How do I know when my battery is going to need replacing on my Apple Watch SE. It charges to 75 or sometimes 80% max these days.

On the watch, go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health and scroll all the way to the bottom. If the Maximum Capacity is less than 80%, it needs to be replaced.

That's true and a very good point to make. I hope it's that simple. However, the fact that the OP said, "75% or sometimes 80%" makes me think that may not be it.

Charging level and battery health are two different things and they should not be confused. What BulletJules
says is that he cannot charge the battery more than 75 or 80%. Battery health should not restrict the charge level an any way.

I am not confusing them. I am well aware of the difference.

Batteries with low maximum capacity can function erratically.
But you should certainly give the OP any information you think is more pertinent.
That’s true, i got your point now.
