Unable to AirDrop photos from iPhone SE to Mac

iOS 26.1 on iphone SE. unable to airdrop photos onto my Mac. I checked and both phone and Mac are connected to same Wifi. It worked yesterday, but broken today :-(

On both the iPhone and Mac:

Toggle Bluetooth OFF → wait 5 seconds → ON

Toggle Wi-Fi OFF → wait 5 seconds → ON

This forces the hidden AWDL interface to recreate itself.

Try AirDrop again immediately.

I think the issue was with the phone still being connected to Apple Carplay in my new car parked in the garage, so Mac and phone were on different networks and just switching back to home wifi, was not quite enough. Just in case anyone else has this issue.

Yes, that fixed it. I toggled the WIFI a couple of times on the phone, but didn't think to do it in that order.
