Widgets going blank after a few seconds in standby mode.

Settings, FaceID (or TouchID) & Passcode, section called Allow access when locked, Make sure lock Screen Widgets is toggled On (green)

Turning off Always On Display or resetting StandBy typically prevents the blanking.
