Apple pay problem
Sometimes, when I try paying with apple pay, it doesn’t work. I have an iPhone 14, the latest IOS update and my nfc chip is definitely working. This really annoys me because I use apple quite often. Although after a few takes it does register, its still annoying.
Does anyone know why it bugs like that?

Are you using a case? Cases can be problematic at some transaction terminals.
The recommended procedure is to double click the side button while looking at the screen (Face ID verification), pick payment method if different from default and then tap transaction terminal.
I think it might be bug because I have had the same issue with many different stores (McDonald, snack-machine…etc). There is this one thing that might help: at the times it works, I just tap the terminal so that the apple pay screen shows up and then double click and it does work, but if I double click first and then try to tap. It doesn’t work.
Sounds more like a merchant POS issue than a bug. A bug would exhibit the issue on every Tap-To-Pay transaction. Is that the behavior you’re experiencing?
