Face ID & Passcodes disappeared from setting options on iPad

My iPad Air 10 no longer lists Face ID & Passcode in settings. It vanished while I was changing some settings in Face ID and I can’t get it back. My content restrictions are set to allow password changes and I have restarted my iPad. Still no option in settings. Can you help please?

You may need to clarify exactly which device you have, as there is no iPad Air 10. Newer iPad Pro models have Face ID, all other units use Fingerprint ID.

Try in order:

Turn Screen Time OFF completely
Restart
Check Family Sharing
Remove VPN / Device Management profiles
Reset All Settings
