iOS 26.2: Enhanced safety alerts missing from Notifications

I just now (12/12/2025) updated to iOS 26.2 public release, version 23C55. The Enhanced Safety Alerts is not displayed under Notifications. I live in the US so it should have beed included in the update. Is anyone else having this issue?

This feature provides country‑ or region‑specific alerts, including emergency, government, and public safety notifications. Many countries don’t support it yet, and India is still in the testing phase for both iOS and Android.

You can find out how to turn on emergency, government, and public safety alerts on your iPhone.

  • Government Alerts are supported when using a SIM card or eSIM from a supported network provider. For more information, contact your network provider.
  • In some countries or regions, you may not be able to turn off Government Alerts.

Go to Settings > Notifications. Scroll down to Government Alerts, then tap Emergency Alerts. Turn on Local Awareness.
