ios 26.1 removed calendar edits/ delete option

Try to update to iOS 26.2. I have no issue seeing the Edit button (upper right) or "Delete Event" (bottom center) in an event. Also when tapping the Edit button, there is also another "Delete Event" button if you scroll down.

I’ve had the same problem. I fixed it by going into the calender app and unchecking holiday calender. That takes them off. It’s as if they were somehow added to the Holiday Calendar. However, when I turned off my phone and then re-✅ Holiday Calendar, It added them back on. So instead of re-✅ing Holiday calendar I clicked on add calendar and added the holiday calendar that way. They did not come back on.

I just tested both the Week and Month views on both my iPhone (iOS 26.2) and my iPad (iPadOS 26.2) and I can edit an event in all cases. Could you post a screenshot of a test event so that I can see how it differs from my devices?

I have upgraded to iOS26.2.

There is still no edit option for calendar entries, which seems like a simple but incredibly inconvenient error.

Pressing or long-pressing on the entry does not bring up an edit option, as it used to do.

Does anyone know how to restore the ability to edit calendar entries?

This if for iPad users: Switch to Day view and single pressing on the event will open up an edit window on the side where you can edit it. Does not work in the week view which I usually use on my iPad.

I am finding a lot of things about 26.2 that I really don't like and this is definitely one of them. Seems they did a good job of making iOS less useful, not more.

Just tap the event in the calendar grid. It should open in a new window:

Still having this issue. I can delete newly imputed event but not ones prior to the update. Also won’t let me add another holiday calendar
