iPhone 13 mini; Battery won’t charge. Even plugged in it only shows 1%, will work for a half a request, then powers down

Background: my iPhone 13 mini has never been serviced, it is from the Apple Store 1 year ago…it replaced a diff iPhone 13 mini that had a different issue.

Yesterday: my phone was fine, then all of a sudden it will not charge, it gets down to 1 % while it is on original charger…now it says it is unable to detect if its an apple battery…and battery health show 0% capacity.

WHYYYYY would this happen?

This would happen because the battery is defective and will need to be replaced.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop.
