Screen takeover has locked iPad - need help please

Somehow a small screen menu has taken over my iPad. It is in the middle of the screen and has sections for Basic, Movement, Interaction, Device. I am unable to unlock it, reboot it or use it at all.

I asked Siri to reboot and she says I must first unlock it, which I can't. I can't get to anything thus the iPad is now useless.

You're doing a force restart, perform the step again, ignore the slider to power down, wait until you see the apple logo and then release, wait for the ipad to boot back up.

At a guess, Switch Control or something else in Accessibility. Go to Settings>Accessibility>Accessibility Shortcut (almost at the bottom of the screen) and make sure it's set to OFF.

I agree with IdrisSeabright. Here’s another method to guarantee it doesn’t happen again.

If you happen to not need any Accessibility features, you could do:

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset All Settings.
