iOS 26 Call Spam Filtering Broken

Since iOS 26.1 phone call spam filtering has stopped working. It was working for me before 26.1 and is still broken after applying 26.2.

My phone provider is AT&T, which tags incoming spam and it is these calls that now ring whereas before 26.1 the calls were silently added to my spam list because I've got Call Filtering/Spam enabled in phone settings.

I've done more than one hard reboot of my phone (iPhone 15 Pro), but the problem continues.

Anyone else having this problem?

I suspect the iOS 26.1 update because (1) the problem didn't occur with 26.0, (2) the last entry placed in my spam list is dated 11/7/25, (3) I applied 26.1 on 11/9/25 and since then all calls tagged as spam by AT&T ring as they used to before spam call filtering was introduced, (4) I have changed no phone settings during this period.

To clarify: My phone is NOT jailbroken. I've got Screen Unknown Callers set to Never. Under Call Filtering, I have Unknown Callers disabled and Spam enabled (this is the setting I'm interested in).

I'm quite willing to accept that my problem results from some phone setting rather than the update itself. Which is why I posted here, hoping someone would suggest a configuration change that might help.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.
