I have blocked dozens of spam call numbers. But now my phone asks the caller for the reason for their call, but does not truly block the call. Now, the call center calls a second time with a new number telling me I can dial 9 to be removed from their call list. Is there a way to fully block a caller? With no automated outgoing message from my iphone?

I cannot block unknown numbers because I use my phone for work calls. I have blocked the spam numbers. What is the setting to fully block a number. It seems like all the settings are driven by unknown callers. What does the block caller do if it doesn't block a call?

So maybe turn off both Screening and silencing. Spammers usually change their numbers so blocking them is probably futile.
