How to resolve poor signal on iPhone 16 with Verizon despite Wi-Fi extender?

I have the Iphone16 and have had many problems with poor signal for over a year and half. I have had multiple Verizon techs try to help me and all have failed. Verizon even complimented me with a wifi extender to try to resolve the poor signal for my home. I have been with Verizon wireless for 14 years and had great service until about a year and half. I feel confident enough to say this is an Apple issue due to my son and husband having android phones and they do not have any issues with weak signal. I constantly have to put my phone in airplane mode or turn it off to get it to connect to the wifi extender, or I have to do reset network settings often to get my phone to connect to the wifi extender, and it is so frustrating to constantly have to do all these steps just to get a signal. If I did not have the extender that plugs into my router I would not be able to even use the phone while I am at home. Just wondering if any other people out there are experiencing the same problem? I have a cell tower that is almost in my neighborhood, you would think with all this being said I could get the help I need from Verizon, but they really don't care. I am one person so they could care less that I have this issue. The last tech I spoke to referred me back to our local store for help. He said he did all the system checks he could.

Do you mean cellular or Wi-Fi? What do you mean by “poor signal” - what is your speed close to the router, and, say 30 feet away?

What Wi-Fi bands are available on your router? How old is your router?

One possibility:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.
